چکیده
Gyroid polylactic acid (PLA) scaffolds with different unit cell sizes of 2 mm (G2), 2.5 (G25), and 3 (G3) were fabricated via fused deposition modeling for bone tissue engineering applications. The porosity the PLA ranged from 86% to 90%. structural anisotropy value was 3.80, 2.00, 1.04 G2, G25, G3, respectively. Compressive test results indicated that both dense porous showed elastic-plastic deformation behavior in building transverse directions. compressive elastic modulus yield strength 118–180 MPa 2–8 direction 106–138 2.5–6.0 direction, tensile 51–63 1.5–4.5 11–17 1–5 gyroid significantly higher values (up three times) compared other structures reported literature. can be anticipated as promising scaffold biomaterials applications by virtue their bone-mimicking structure good mechanical properties.

متن کاملBiomaterials as Porous Scaffolds for Tissue Engineering Applications: a Review
In tissue engineering, biomaterials play a critical role, act as a 3D template, provide mechanical support, and give artificial extracellular matrix environment (ECM) for neo-tissue formation. Only one type of biomaterials is not enough for both hard and soft tissue engineering. That’s why all types of biomaterials i.e. metals, ceramics, & polymers have their own importance in making tissue eng...
